Pochis Sweet Designs comes from a love for Colombia and its unique coffee, turning its rich,
aromatic flavor into handcrafted treats inspired by tradition and made with care, to be enjoyed
in homes across the US, while proudly sharing our culture, our roots, and the joy of something
sweet, with every bite made to bring a smile and bring people together.
Pochis began as a small chocolate and flower concept inspired by traditional Colombian flower shops and the idea of creating special moments around something sweet. After moving from Bogotá to the United States, our founder started by making treats for friends and family, which soon grew into a business in 2019. As it continued to grow, Pochis became a Colombian restaurant in Grand Rapids, created to share the flavors and culture that were missing from the community.
Over time, the brand evolved into what it is today, focusing on handcrafted coffee and chocolate sweets made with care, sharing our culture, our roots, and the joy of meaningful moments in homes across the US, with every bite made to bring a smile and connect people.
Founded by Paola Carlson, originally from Bogotá, Colombia, Pochis Sweet Designs was born from her desire to share a piece of home through coffee, culture, and connection.
After moving to the United States with her daughter, she began creating sweets for family and friends, which grew into a business and later a restaurant, eventually evolving into the brand Pochis is today. Driven by her experience as a single mother, Paola built Pochis with purpose, to create opportunities for other women and share Colombian culture through meaningful, joyful experiences.
